Comparing two colours

By using the Compare feature, you can quickly capture and determine the difference in colour of two surfaces. This is handy if you need an objective comparison of the two surfaces with respect to their colour characteristics.

Comparing colours requires a Colourpin II, SE or Pro.

On mobile

  1. Click on Scan in the main menu
  2. Connect to, and calibrate your Colourpin
  3. Click on the Compare tab in the top
  4. Measure the first surface
  5. Measure the second surface

Once the results have finished processing, the two colours can be compared with respect to their Lab, LCH, RGB and HSV differences.

You can re-measure any of the two surfaces by clicking on the sample in the top and measuring again.
