Comparing two colours

By using the Compare feature, you can quickly capture and determine the difference in colour of two surfaces. This is handy if you need an objective comparison of the two surfaces with respect to their colour characteristics.

Comparing colours requires a Colourpin II, SE or Pro.

On mobile

  1. Navigate to Scan in the main menu
  2. Connect to, and calibrate your Colourpin
  3. Measure the first surface 
  4. Click on the Compare icon in the top-right corner
  5. Measure the second surface

Once the results have finished processing, the two colours can be compared with respect to their Lab, LCH and RGB differences.

To re-measure the second surface, simply make a new measurement with your device. To re-measure the first surface, click the Back icon and repeat steps 3-5 above.
