By using the Match feature, you can quickly find the closest matching colour to any surface in your surrounding.
Matching requires a Colourpin II, SE or Pro.
On mobile
- Click on Scan in the main menu
- Connect to, and calibrate your Colourpin
- Place your Colourpin on the surface you want to find a matching colour for
- Press the button on the Colourpin, or click on the Scan button in the app.
- Once the results are loaded, you will see the closest matching standard NCS colour for the surface that you have scanned.
- Optional: By tapping on the Match rating sheet at the bottom, you can find out more information about how the scanned surface and the match differs between each other.
- By swiping to the right, you can view other match suggestions, ordered by their closeness to the scanned surface.
- You can tap on either the scanned colour at the top to find out more information about your scan (such as the HEX, RGB, L, a, b values of the scan), or tap on the match to explore the match suggestion closer.
You can re-measure by clicking on the button on the Colourpin or by clicking on the Scan button in the app.
Note: As a Pro User you can not only explore the closest matching NCS code, but also see the Scanned NCS code of the surface as well as get an explanation of the NCS difference between the scanned surface and the closest NCS code in terms of blackness-, chromaticness- and hue differences.. You can also save the actual scanned NCS to a moodboard of your choice.
