Where can I find the Scanned NCS?
What changed?
In the latest version of NCS+, we moved the Scanned NCS value (sometimes called "Exact NCS" or "NCS Exact") from the Match Results screen to the Scan Details screen. The Closest Standard Match (e.g. S 2005-Y50R) remains front and centre on Match Results, just as before.
How do I find my Scanned NCS now?
After scanning a surface, tap the scan result on the top half of the screen to open the Scan Details screen. The Scanned NCS value is displayed there alongside additional information about the scan, such as the closest match, and the delta to the match.
Why did you move it?
The Closest Standard Match, the core result of every scan, has always been free and remains so. The Scanned NCS is a Pro feature that gives you a more granular reading beyond the standard. However, by showing both values side by side on the Match Results screen, many users didn't understand why they would need a Pro subscription for what looked like just another NCS notation next to the free one. By moving the Scanned NCS to the Scan Details screen, the Match Results screen now focuses on the primary output: your closest standard match, and the Scanned NCS lives in a context where its purpose and added value are easier to understand.
Will this affect my saved scans?
No. All previously saved scans retain their Scanned NCS values. They are simply displayed on the Scan Details screen instead of the Match Results screen.
