  2. Put your Colourpin device into Pairing mode by double-clicking on the button located on the top of the device.
  3. After a few seconds, the device should appear in the list of discovered devices in the app.
  4. Tap on your device in the list.
  5. The app will let you know if the device needs to be calibrated, if so:
    1. For Colourpin II / SE: Firmly attach the calibration cap to the measurement opening of the device by screwing it on
    2. For Colourpin Pro: Place the device on the white calibration tile that came in the hard case.
  6. Click on the Calibrate button in the app.

The device is now paired with your phone and calibrated. Any future connections to device is as easy as waking the device up by pressing once on the button on the device when accessing the Scan feature in the app.

Re-calibrating your device

If you're ever unsure of the matching accuracy of your device, you can perform a manual re-calibration of the device by connecting to the device and clicking on the Bluetooth icon in the toolbar, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

You can also re-calibrate your Colourpin from the Settings screen, and scrolling down to the Connected Colourpin section, clicking on the device and following the on-screen instructions.

Re-calibration can be a good idea if your device for example has been exposed to high or low temperatures.
